Knitting Terms and Abbreviations for This Easy Beanie
SL: Slip
K: Knit
P: Purl
STS: Stitches
RS: Right Side
WS: Wrong Side
SSK: Slip, Slip, Knit (Slip one stitch knitwise, Slip the next stitch knitwise, Insert the left needle into the front of these two slipped stitches & Knit them together through the back loop).
YB: Yarn from back
YF: Yarn from the front

Cast on: 100 sts
This beanie is made without a border and features a simple two-row repeat pattern. Even beginners can easily knit this pattern. This pattern requires the same design on both sides of the beanie. The beanie pattern is provided below.
Row 1: P1 * K2, P2, YB, SL1, YF, P2 *, repeat from * to * ………Last sts P1
Row 2: P1 * K2, P1, K2, P2 *, repeat from * to * ………….Last sts P1
Repeat these 2 rows until the beanie reaches your desired length. I have currently knit 9 inches.
Finishing Touch: Bind-Off Instructions
Once the beanie reaches the desired length, we will begin to bind off the stitches. This beanie will be bound off in 6 rows. The bind-off pattern is provided below.
Row 1: P1 * K2, P2tog, K1, P2tog *, repeat from * to * …………………Last sts P1 (Now 72 stitches are remaining on the needle)
Row 2: P1 * K1, P1, K1, P2 *, repeat from * to * ………………..Last sts P1
Row 3: P1 * SSK, P1, K1, P1 *, repeat from * to * …………………Last sts P1 (Now 58 stitches are remaining on the needle)
Row 4: P1 * K1, P1 *, repeat from * to * …………………Last sts P1
Row 5: P1 * SSK ,SSK, SSK, SSK………….Last sts P1 (Now 30 stitches are remaining on the needle)
Row 6: Purl all sts
Finally, cut the yarn and transfer all the stitches to a swing needle. Secure them tightly. Then, sew the beanie from top to bottom. Now, the 2-row repeat beanie is ready to wear.
