Hello, my name is Sunaina Negi. I am from Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand, India and I live in the city of Dehradun. My dad worked in defense, and I completed my education in Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, India.
I did my 10th, 12th, B.Com, and M.Com while living in Lucknow. I also took a course in professional accounting. After that, we moved to Dehradun. There, I did teaching and also worked in an office, but my heart wasn’t into it because I always wanted to do something where I could dedicate all my time to my family and become self-reliant.
I also completed the O Level course in computers. Meanwhile, I got married, and a lovely son entered our lives. I shifted to Noida, India with my husband.
Starting of Knitting Youtube Channel
I always had a passion for knitting since childhood. So, even when I was little, I used to learn from my mom and create small things. As I grew up, I would help my mom knit sweaters.
Since I already had a love for knitting, when I had free time, I started watching knitting videos on YouTube to spend my time. In the process, I began exploring new patterns because I enjoyed this craft.
Seeing my interest in knitting, my husband suggested opening a Knitting Channel on YouTube. Without wasting any time, with my husband’s help, I started a channel called Knitting Design & Pattern Idea.
In August 2017, I posted my first video, and the journey continued. My viewers gave me so much love that within a month, my channel got monetized, and as of today, I have more than 200K subscribers.
I have always had a passion for trying new things, so in knitting as well, I tried to bring in things other than traditional knitting. Under this, I explored finger knitting, creating items like caps, double-color caps, socks, and shawls using only my fingers without any needles. Finger knitting received a lot of appreciation.
Apart from that, I also tried loom knitting, where knitting is done using a loom. I learned the technique of knitting with loop yarn and shared it on my channel. I continue to strive to learn new techniques in knitting along with traditional methods and share them with my viewers. I enjoy doing this.
In 2020, I also created a Knitting Page & Group on Facebook, and it has also been successful. Today, the Facebook page has gathered approximately 63,000 followers who have connected with me.
